Come enjoy the CDA River at Shoshone Mountain Retreat!

Grab your friends, head up the Coeur d’Alene river, and have a blast with one of our new programs at Shoshone Mountain Retreat—sure to become your favorite new camp.

Six day, five night, grade-specific programs. Each day is a new adventure on the Idaho Panhandle National Forest. Fall asleep on cots in wall tents, listening to Shoshone Creek just outside your door. It’s traditional summer camp like it was meant to be!

The fun includes:

  • Tubing the North Fork of the Coeur d’Alene River.
  • Ballfield games
  • Swimmin’ in the Swimmin’ Hole
  • Cook-outs
  • Sleep-outs under the Milky Way
  • Campfires with s’mores
  • Daily Bible studies with your cabin group
  • Daily worship with the camp community
  • Encouragement, support, and mentoring from your camp counselor
  • Free time to enjoy Shoshone Mountain Retreat classics: hanging out at the Hungry Horse in our terrific new Wild West Town, camp games like nowhere else, and the challenge course—all with new friends!

NEW! TREK 2.0 :: Grades 9-12 – Cost $625

For those who are looking for a new adventure based out of Shoshone Mountain Retreat & Ranch then this is the week for you! Trek features three off-site outdoor experiences; campers will get to go sailing on Lake Coeur d’Alene, venture through the 1.6-mile-long tunnel on the Route of the Hiawatha, and spend a day kayaking. Alongside all of the fun of Shoshone Mountain Retreat & Ranch – epic stars, horseback riding, and hiking.

Off-site Adventures: Head into your off-site excursion with a sack lunch in hand and spend several hours adventuring before heading back to Shoshone Mountain Retreat & Ranch for traditional summer camp activities. Campers will return in the afternoon to debrief their experience, enjoy camp activities, and sleep in wall tents at their own camping area on site. Sailing and kayaking trips are led by guides from North Idaho College’s Outdoor Pursuits Program!

Cost includes all off-site adventures (including bike rentals at the Hiawatha!).

Explorers :: Grades 7-10 – Cost $510

An awesome week of outdoor adventure including all the fun of Shoshone Mountain Retreat, plus two nights at our new McPherson Meadows, a day hike on the Coeur d’Alene River National Scenic Trail, Horseback trail rides (included), rock climbing Shoshone’s natural 40-foot rock wall, ziplining, and an extended river float with lunch along the way!
  • 7-10th Grade: July 27-August 1, 2025
  • 7-10th Grade: August 3-8, 2025

Shoshone Creek Ranch

Ranch Camp :: Grades 5-7 and 7-10 – Cost $646

From campers who have never ridden a horse, to those who ride every day, all skills levels are welcome. Ranch Camp is located at our western guest ranch in a gorgeous, riverside mountain setting at Shoshone Mountain Retreat! Spend your days developing your horse skills in the arena and on the trails at Shoshone Creek Ranch. Daily horse time, plus popular camp activities like splashing in the swimmin’ hole, the 40-foot natural climbing wall, tubing the river, crafts, campfire cooking, worship & Bible study. Complete the week with a Hootenanny! Ranch camp is operated under an Outfitter & Guides Permit from the Idaho Panhandle National Forests.
