For summer camp 2022

COVID-19 Protocols for Summer Camp, 2022, if necessary, will be shared as they are developed, likely after January.

For registered families, this information will be shared directly with you. For prospective families, check back here regularly.

For Summer Camp, 2021, we…

  • Worked closely with our stellar team of medical and public health professionals, who helped us make decisions and implement policies based on national public health policy.
  • Wrote our protocols knowing we draw campers from around the region and across the nation.
  • Alongside the more than 7,000 summer camps around our nation, developed protocols in conjunction with the American Camp Association, the Christian Camp & Conference Association, the Association of Camp Nursing, and the Centers for Disease Control.

Last summer…

  • All summer staff who overnighted with campers were vaccinated.
  • Unvaccinated campers were PCR tested for COVID-19 prior to or at camp.
  • Campers did not need to mask when with their cabin group.
  • Masks were required in all shared indoor public spaces (like through the food service line).
  • We only had one known case of COVID on camp, with no known community spread to other campers.

For Summer Camp, 2022, we once again will…

  • Work closely with our professional Health Care Team to develop COVID-19 protocols and precautions to help keep families, campers, staff, volunteers, and folks back home safe and healthy.
  • Take into account changing regional and national rates of community spread, public health recommendations, and testing and vaccination scenarios.
  • Know that, thankfully, a growing number of our friends, neighbors, and family members—especially the most vulnerable—are being vaccinated.
  • Provide families, group leaders, parents, and care givers information to help them decide on summer camp for their family, youth, children, or group.
  • Work hard to keep you informed of changes along the way.

"Just wanted to say thank you for putting all you have into getting camp going for the kids this year. This will be my daughters first year at ranch camp and she couldn’t be more excited. The fact that you are doing everything safely and coordinated shows the passion. Please pass the thanks along to your team. "
